At LAFHAB we recognise that some people want to achieve qualifications in both hairdressing and barbering, often because they want to work in, or run, a unisex salon. We have therefore put together a tailored course that combines both NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing with specific units from NVQ Level 2 Barbering, that will offer you a full NVQ qualification in both hairdressing and barbering. The course includes the required units for the full hairdressing NVQ qualification, with 4 relevant barbering units.

Hairdressing Units:
• Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
• Advise and consult with clients
• Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
• Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
• Change hair colour
• Style and finish hair
• Set and dress hair
• Cut hair using basic techniques
Barbering Units:
• Cut hair using basic barbering techniques
• Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques
• Dry and finish men’s hair
• Create basic patterns in hair
