About us
We opened our academy in 2011 with a mission to provide further education with high quality hairdressing and barbering training.
We continue to offer part time and full time education to learners with more in-depth, personal and completely flexible level of training
that was not available anywhere else.
Since then, we have seen hundreds of students qualify, and we are continually amazed by the success stories we hear.
Many of our students have gone on to open their own business. Some are working in film & TV and others have started a new life
abroad with their internationally-recognised qualifications.
We endeavour to train barbers and hairdressers to a high standard, using the latest skills and techniques in hairdressing and barbering through our courses.
We also provide flexibility and an inclusive training environment that makes everyone feel welcome.
We firmly believe that it is important to offer Equal Opportunities for all, regardless of social background, age, ethnicity, disability or qualifications.
All we ask of learners is that they are committed and willing to learn. In turn we will provide the resources, training and support required.
In recognition of the quality of training, we have been awarded the status of ‘WAHL Centre of Excellence’ and we continue to host WAHL
seminars throughout the year with Simon Shaw and members of the WAHL Artistic Team.
Our Academy is accredited by VTCT, this means that we deliver NVQ Hairdressing & Barbering qualifications and
training that is to industry standards. These are recognised by employers throughout the UK and internationally.
