Introduction
The Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing from VTCT is a job-ready qualification based on National Occupational Standards. Mandatory units: you will need to complete all of the following units;
• Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
• Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety
• Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp
• Change hair colour
• Advise and consult with clients
• Style and finish hair
• Set and dress hair
• Cut hair using basic techniques
Optional units: you will also need to complete 1 or more of the following units, achieving at least 6 credits
• Fulfil salon reception duties (3 credits)
• Develop and maintain effectiveness at work (3 credits)
• Promote additional services or products to customers (6 credits)
• Plait and twist hair (4 credits)
• Perm and neutralise hair (8 credits)
• Attach hair to enhance a style (3 credits)

Course fees:
The fee for course HB2N2 Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing is from £2895, there are two options
Option 1
– Attend at least 3 days a week, 6 months to complete
– Course fee: £2895 – No monthly payment options
Option 2
– Attend at least 1 day a week, 12 months to complete
– Course fee: £3895 – Pay in full or £379 deposit + 12 months @ £293
